RECOGNISING AUTHORS WITH GLOBAL APPEAL IN THE SELF-PUBLISHING INDUSTRY

15 August 2024 – GLOBAL BOOK AWARDS announces the recent winners and finalists of the 2024 Global Book Awards 

One of the winning entries was from children’s author, JUDITH A. EWA, whose book titled BIBI SAVES THE HONEY BEES won in the CHILDREN’S, SCIENCE, NATURE & HOW IT WORKS CATEGORY.

“The Global Book Awards aim to recognise talented authors who have not received the recognition they deserve, whether in traditional publishing or in self-publishing.

In this modern age of publishing, books need to be appraised not only by their content and writing style, but also by the way they present and market themselves to the prospective buyer, whether that is in the good ratings it has on important stores like Amazon, its book cover and description, or the number of reviews it has collected. They must also appeal to new readers so part of the evaluation included a survey asking avid readers to select the top 5 books they enjoyed the most.

 AUTHORS JOIN THE INTERNATIONAL FIREBIRD BOOK AWARD CIRCLE OF WINNERS

19 July 2024 – Speak Up Talk Radio announced the recent INTERNATIONAL FIREBIRD BOOK AWARDS contest winners. 

One of the winning entries was from SWITZERLAND author JUDITH A. EWA, whose book titled BIBI SAVES THE HONEY BEES won in the CHILDREN PICTURE BOOK AGES 4-8 CATEGORY.

Authors and publishers worldwide submitted their work to the International Firebird Book Awards. The panel of judges includes 27 individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Two judges from a select panel read and scored each entry. All judges commit to a set of standardized criteria that evaluate the quality of the writing and the production aspects. The judges only award the coveted Firebird to entries with the highest scores.

Authors can view their entry fee for the International Firebird Book Awards as more than just a fee. It’s a tax-deductible donation that supports a noble cause. Patricia J. Rullo, the awards’ founder, explains, “We give back by hand making colorful pillowcases. We send them, along with children’s books, to women and children who are experiencing homelessness. This includes the shelter Enchanted Makeovers, which is a tax-exempt organization. In this way, authors gain recognition for their work and play a significant role in transforming homeless shelters into bright homes. Winning a book award feels good, but knowing your participation makes a difference feels even better.”
